*Experience analyzing and implementing organizational systems, both technical and non-technical to support business needs.
*Experience evaluating issues and developing recommendations that support courses of action.
*Experience preparing grant and contract submissions and post-award management.
Required Skills & Abilities:
*Demonstrated excellent written and oral communication skills.
*Demonstrated skills related to forecasting, financial planning and analysis, project management and facilities/space planning.
*Demonstrated ability to perform special projects, and prepare various financial, statistical, and other reports.
*Ability to participate in the planning, implementation, and management of department programs and to be responsible for monitoring all programs to ensure they are meeting their stated goals.
*Ability to provide oversight, supervision, and development of staff.
*Demonstrated ability to oversee and review requests for proposal and contracts to ensure they are in keeping with both department and University policies in terms of financial commitments and personnel requirements.
*Demonstrated ability to conduct needs analyses and assessments and to make appropriate recommendations.
*Ability to serve on budget and facilities committees and to develop annual budget and facilities plans as well as to provide advice on financial implications
*Ability to attend community meetings and events to establish a presence for the campus within the local communities and develop relationships with community leaders.
*Demonstrated understanding of human resources policies and procedures; proven ability to lead and advise administration.
*Campus is open 6-7 days per week; hours can be variable due to programs, events, and unplanned emergencies; must be willing to be flexible.
Preferred:
*Master’s degree
*Prior experience in higher education and working with faculty
*Previous experience in budget, finance, HR or facilities management highly preferred
