Job Description
HOURS: This position is Monday through Friday, 8am-6pm starting rate is $19/hr!
LOCATION: Pen Argyl, PA
Techo-Bloc’s Scale House Clerks are responsible for weighing the inbound and outbound trucks at our Pen Argyl, PA headquarters. As a key collaborator of the yard management team, our clerks use their keen eye to inspect materials, create documentation and ensure logistical accuracy. Here is what a day in the life of a Scale House Clerk entails:
- Greet our TBC trucks by collecting their transport orders (TO #).
- Print transport orders and coordinate ticket distribution to forklift operators.
- Record the weights of inbound and outbound trucks.
- Document, verify and inspect all deliveries, including aggregates and raw materials.
- Maintain detailed reports of product sample requests and data.
- Conducts load verifications and prints shipping manifests for customer delivery.
- Assist with loading flatbed trailers.
- Interface with yard leaders, truckers and outside haulers.
- Exemplify a willingness to grow within the organization by assisting with yard duties.
Qualifications
- 1+ years’ experience as a scale house clerk, or relevant experience.
- Strong computer skills; previous experience creating documentation, data entry, or relevant experience.
- Comfortable operating a forklift, as needed.
Your Skills
- A strong communicator; you’re comfortable interfacing with multiple key leaders.
- Detail-oriented; you have a sharp eye for inconsistencies and imperfection.
- Highly Organized; you love to document the details.
