Role: Grocery Merchandising Director

Role Type: Full-time only ( No contractor, No C2C, No third-party)

Experience: 15+ years

Education: Bachelors (mandatory), MBA (preferred)

Location: Cincinnati, OH Preferred but we are open to candidates who will travel 60 – 80% of the time.

Salary: $180k-$250k plus bonus

Responsibilities:

Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide thought leadership in merchandising, to retail customers
• Proactively work with sales teams to curate a contextual, comprehensive solution in merchandising domain for customers
• Oversee solution delivery for business transformation programs from a retail domain/business value perspective
• Provide retail domain flavor to the solutions proposed for the merchandising opportunities
• Lead and mentor a team of business consultants/analysts
• Interface with industry analysts to detail our capabilities and experience in merchandising domain.
• Drive knowledge management and process competency development in various account teams
• Collaborate with other functions within TCS to conceptualize retail specific merchandising offerings
• Role requires travel up to 60 – 80% of the time.

Generic Managerial Skills

Must Have

• Strong experience in grocery retail merchandising functions, including merchandising planning, assortment & range, visual merchandising, pricing and promotions as well as rebates
• Must have led multiple large transformation programs in merchandising for retailers
• Ability to drive engagements with merchandising and visual merchandising leadership in retail organisation, focused on business transformation
• Ability to work with customer merchandising leadership to drive improvements to key merchandising metrics
• Ability to lead responses for solution proposals from a domain/business value/KPI perspective

Good to Have

• Line function experience in any of the merchandising functions in grocery retail organization
• Experience in running merchandising consulting engagements
• Knowledge of any of the leading merchandising solutions including SAP, Oracle, BY, SAS, etc.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $180,000.00 – $250,000.00 per year
