Customer Service – Customer Solutions Specialist

Tate Technology is a locally owned and operated contract electronics manufacturer. We are currently looking for a Customer Solutions Specialist to join our team. A Customer Solutions Specialist works in the most integral department within the company. The Customer Solutions Department is responsible for all sales related activities such as business development, quoting, inside sales, and being the primary conduit for all customer communication. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication, organization, and multitasking skills, strong computer skills, a positive attitude and a strong work ethic, along with the desire to build and strengthen customer relationships.

Responsibilities

• Primary conduit for communicating with our customers
• Answer and direct incoming calls for all departments
• Act as the liaison for all communication between various departments and our customers
• Respond to customer inquiries in an accurate, efficient, and timely manner
• Prioritize and schedule incoming quote requests in the queue accordingly
• Receive and process orders
• Obtain material pricing and lead time for all material including all custom components from the bill of materials (BOM)
• Calculate labor costs according to part counts and assembly processes using predetermined formulas
• Prepare and submit quotations to the customer
• Manage pricing and work with vendors on special pricing
• Other duties as requested

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience in customer service, manufacturing planning, quoting, or supplier relations
• Must have excellent computer skills: – Excel, Word, Outlook & other office suites with a strong working knowledge of Excel in particular
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Extreme attention to detail
• Understand manufacturing basics
• Knowledge of supply chain is a plus
• Experience in viewing Gerber data is a plus
• ERP/MRP experience a plus
• Willing to work extra hours as needed

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 – $22.00 per hour
