This is a unique and exciting opportunity to build a brand-new PhD program
from the ground up at a University enjoying record, year-over-year growth. The next Associate Professor/Professor will serve a critical need
in a large and rapidly-expanding Department of Animal Science at Tarleton State University.
The department, which currently serves
over 900 students with its B.S and M.S. degrees, is planning to launch a PhD in Animal Science in the during the next 2 years. This position
will play a pivotal role in the successful program launch and initial doctoral student recruitment, teaching, and research activities.
Animal Sciences, enjoying exponential growth of 100% in five years and the Master’s program having doubled in the past few years
serves a diverse student population including many first generation students attending from both metroplex and rural areas.
This
tenure-track, 9 month undergraduate and graduate teaching and research/scholarly activity position in the Department of Animal Science
reports to department head in the Department of Animal Science.

Stephenville was first patented by John M. Stephen on February 24, 1853. After over 160 years, this city has transformed
