Software Asset Manager (SAM) – (100% Remote)

SYSTEMTEC seeks a Software Asset Manager (SAM) for a 100% Remote opportunity. Candidate must have large scale data center and enterprise level experience as well as extensive experience in licensing scenarios within a highly virtualized environment is required.

Candidate must be willing to work EST hours.

Responsibilities of the Software Asset Manager (SAM):

• Provide technical expertise on decisions and priorities regarding the enterprise’s overall systems architecture
• Provide technical guidance to project team areas as appropriate
• Evaluate vendor-supplied software packages and make recommendations to IT management
• In coordination with Project Leads, provide input on all proposals that could potentially impact systems
• May perform sizing on proposed new services and systems through simulations of system configurations and capacity modeling for multiple platforms to establish capacity requirements
• Review and design system software and hardware builds analyzing system options, risks, cost vs. benefit, and impact on the enterprise business process and goals
• Develop and document the framework for integration and implementation for changes to technical standards

Requirements of the Software Asset Manager (SAM):

• Bachelor’s or Associate’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or other related field Highly Desired
• 10 Years IT experience including 5 years Software Asset Management experience
• Must have extensive Software Licensing experience
• Must have experience supporting licensing in a dynamic Amazon Web Services (AWS) environment OR experience supporting licensing for Oracle Products in a dynamic environment
• Must have experience supporting the software licensing needs of a large data center across multiple platforms and environments to include Wintel devices, Mainframe and UNIX utilizing software from major publishers
• HCL Big Fix Inventory experience is a plus

Pay: $95,000.00 – $119,000.00 per year
