Position Summary:
Job SummaryThe Union County Conservation District located in Lewisburg, PA has partnered a successful internship program with many students and universities. Internships provide valuable experience to the students and provide the Conservation District staff assistance with projects. Many of the students who have utilized the internship program with the Conservation District have found employment with the district or other partnering agencies (PAFBC, NRCS, DEP, other conservancies or conservation districts within the state). An internship is a great way to network, meet professionals in natural resources conservation, and gain experience in a professional work environment. This position is defined as a non-exempt position under FLSA regulations. Specific Responsibilities This position will entail working alongside our District Manager, Watershed Specialist, Agriculture Tech/Environmental Educator, Erosion & Sediment Control Technician, and Chesapeake Bay Specialist to organize and enter data, prepare materials for publication/outreach, plan future meetings and presentations, and participate in field work such as riparian buffer maintenance, stream bank and habitat restoration, greenhouse/plant maintenance, and potentially assist in inspections.

Experience Ability and comfort driving a truck/large van is preferred.
