Position Summary:
Job SummaryThe Archives Student Specialist supports the work of the University Archives, principally through assisting in the processing and description of both new and existing collections under the supervision of the Special Collections Librarian. The archives student specialist locates specific items requested by researchers, and may review collections or documents to assist in responding to inquiries regarding university history. The archives student specialist will also assist with the digitization of archival collections through the operation of both the flat-bed scanner and the overhead scanner in the library technical service area and by creating metadata for digital objects. This position is defined as a non-exempt position under FLSA regulations. Specific Responsibilities
