Accounts Payable Clerk/ Commercial Collections

**THIS IS NOT A REMOTE POSITION **

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Other duties may be assigned:

• Process accounts payable invoices for payment, including verification of costs and price extensions, discounts, account codes, etc. .
• Process cash receipts, including verifying account codes.
• Prepare bank deposits.
• Research unpaid invoices, credit memos, back ordered items, etc.
• Process and remit accounts payable checks, including replacement checks.
• Communicate with vendors pertaining to accounts payable and receivable transactions. Review vendors statements.
• Assist with audit preparation.
• Process Daily Deposits
• Order office supplies, food and beverages
• Commercial Accounts Collections

4. Cigna

EDUCATION:

1. High School Diploma
2. Associates Degree preferred.
3. 2 years Accounts Payable and/or general accounting experience

KNOWLEDGE:

1. Knowledge of accounting principles and procedures, computer systems, calculator, programs and spreadsheet applications.
2. Knowledge of state and departmental policies and procedures.
3. Knowledge of federal and state reporting requirements as they pertain to the accounts receivable and accounts payable processes.

SKILLS:

1. Possess effective human relations skills.
2. Skill in gathering and reporting information.
3. Skill in solving utilization problems.
4. Skill in written and verbal communication and customer relations.
5. Skills in working with Windows based software systems
