Supply Chain Business Manager – GWS
Job Summary
This position will participate and support the strategic sourcing, contracts and vendor management for Lam’s Facilities and Construction, (GWS-Global Workplace Solutions) within the Indirect Materials and Services department at Lam. The self-motived candidate will plan, organize and control sourcing (RFXs)/ contracts/ negotiations for strategic acquisition of materials and services for the Facilities and Construction. This individual must be able to work under minimal supervision in negotiating complex contracts and problem solve.
Job Responsibilities
Develops and executes sourcing category strategies using data analysis, risk assessments, internal customer needs and supplier landscape knowledge.
Leads sourcing initiatives including requests for proposals, supplier selection, and negotiations.
Develops a deep understanding of business partner objectives to ensure alignment with sourcing initiatives.
Builds sourcing strategies to ensure timely supply, with minimal risk, while driving pricing optimizing, contract negotiation & compliance, and product quality.
Create deep supplier relationships with strategic suppliers to include data review and analysis, regularly scheduled Business Reviews, performance management, development and improvement.
Create RFP analysis tools to flush out: cost savings, risk assessment and bid recommendations.
Collaborate between BU and Legal for the development of complex contracts to include drafting statements of work, request for proposal creation, and contract evaluation and negotiation.
Create successful relationships with business partners by contributing proactive sourcing strategies on a consistent basis.
Manage to a target and track all cost saving efforts.

Provide reporting and maintenance on a variety of data sets as they relate to:
Project pipeline
Vendor spend and cost savings
Supplier Optimization
Contract management
Drive baseline reductions and cost avoidance in GWS for facilities within the US and globally as required
Support ad hoc expense management initiatives
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum Education: BA/BS/MBA degree in Business especially as focused on (but not limited to) the following: Facilities and Construction Procurement, Supply Chain, Accounting/ Finance, Legal,
Minimum Experience: 4 – 7+ years of experience in a Construction and Facilities Strategic Souring, or Procurement Operations Preferably in fast-paced, high-growth technology industry
Must have experience with high-tech facilities, including R&D Labs, Cleanrooms, Gas & Chemical processing, space planning, corporate offices, and multi-campus management.
Evidence of leveraging influencing skills to drive change to purchasing behaviors with measurable outcomes (expense reduction)
Exceptional interpersonal relationship skills and professional level of emotional intelligence necessary to achieve the desired objective deliverables
Proven experience of strong analytical and problem-solving skills with history of successful resolution
Experience with SAP, MS Office (including Teams, especially Advanced Excel, and Access)
Preferred Qualifications
Previous project management experience and knowledge of basic project management concepts
Experience with continuity planning and risk mitigation development with suppliers
Willing to travel as required (up to 30%)
Mix of experience in a Construction/ Facilities/ Sourcing / Procurement roles.
