JOB DESCRIPTION The position offers a nice mix of work, processing customer orders and inquiries using a computer in a team-oriented environment.
FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB
1. Establish strong, effective working relationships with customers and coworkers.
2. Process customer purchase orders received by email and web. Advise customers of pertinent order information, such as pricing, delivery, and terms of sale.
3. Work with management and teammates to ensure export and controlled transactions meet US Federal regulations Escalate orders requiring licenses and notify management of export concerns.
4. Screen end users and intermediaries against Restricted Party Lists.
5. Collaborate with international distribution, end customers, freight forwarders and customs brokers in accordance with international export/import and shipping laws. Prepare all required shipping documents. Process letters of credit and ATA carnets.
6. File electronic export information (EEI) in the automated export system (AES). Populate country of origin to support free trade agreements and correct trade balance data.
7. Retain records, including commercial invoices, ocean or airway bills of lading, purchase orders/contracts, and governmental correspondence per government retention policies.
POSITION QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Education: Requires a high school education, prefer 2 years of college, and 4 years of college is a plus.
Experience: Requires a minimum of three years international customer service and proficiency with computer order entry. Must have at least basic understanding and one year experience of US export compliance regulations. Working familiarity with Oracle EBS or Oracle CX is a plus.

2. Strong written and verbal English communication skills. Fluency in written and spoken Spanish is a plus.

Unlikely, except possibly for training.
