Job Description
Perform the duties required to recruit candidates to fill open positions, utilizing established and new methodologies and strategies to reduce costs, improve retention and streamline the hiring process. Increase awareness of Sunnen brand and develop a quality talent pool for future (succession planning). Maintain accurate applicant data to assist with governmental reporting and TA records. Perform administrative duties to support the Human Resources Department.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB
1. Assist with company-wide recruitment efforts:
a. Knowledge of recruiting practices and trends.
b. Assist HR and managers in determining recruitment needs.
c. Assist with writing recruitment ads for various media such as internet sites, job boards, social networks, company website, and schools.
d. Update job posting website with open positions.
e. Source candidates via networking, social media, employee referrals, employment agencies, temp agencies, etc.
f. Conduct initial screening of resumes and applications for open positions. Assess skill sets and forward to appropriate supervisors or managers for interview.
g. Arrange interview schedules and conduct initial interview with applicant.
h. Administer candidate skills testing.
i. Extend offer of employment and arrange for background check and drug screen.
j. Assist with the onboarding process – welcome letter, new employee orientation, training videos and related paperwork.
2. Assist with internal job posting process:
a. Prepare posting using verbiage from job description.
b. Forward bidder names to supervisors and follow up as to the results.
3. Attend various career fairs at colleges, technical schools, and community events.
4. Maintain applicant log and resume files in accordance with established governmental guidelines.
5. HRIS system support, processing new hires and terms.
6. Participate in employee engagement strategy discussions and recognition planning.
7. Provide back up to Human Resources Generalist and switchboard.
POSITION QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Education: Associates Degree in HR/Business or related field, or 7 years HR experience. Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or similar program preferred.
Experience: Minimum two years of experience in recruiting, human resources or related field preferred. Position will require one two to three years’ experience to gain sufficient knowledge to perform the requirements of the role.

6. Requires a well-organized individual.
7. Skilled in Microsoft Office – Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint
