SUMMARY
The Graphic and Web Design Specialist is responsible for creating visually compelling
designs for both print and digital platforms. This role involves combining artistic flair with technical skills to produce engaging
graphics, websites, and multimedia content. Key responsibilities include conceptualizing and executing design projects, collaborating with
cross-functional teams, staying updated on design trends and technologies, and ensuring brand consistency across various visual elements.
The Graphic and Web Design Specialist plays a crucial role in enhancing the overall aesthetic and user experience for both
online and offline marketing materials.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Design print and digital marketing
content to drive demand
§ Serve as the design point supporting various divisions within the organization, including but
not limited to: enrollment and admissions, career services, education and training, and development. Ensure all design materials align with
Summit Academy OIC brand guidelines and marketing objectives.
§ Ideate and create materials to appeal to a variety of
stakeholders: prospects, students, employers, donors, community, and staff. Create visually appealing graphics, images, and multimedia
content for marketing materials, including websites, social media, email campaigns, and print materials.
§ Design print and
digital marketing content: use Summit brand guidelines to create fresh designs (one-pagers, emails, infographics, GIFs, ads, etc.) that
drive prospects from awareness to conversion.
§ Stay updated on design trends, tools, and technologies to continuously improve
the quality of design work.
Drive web engagement across stakeholder audiences
§ Design and manage
Summit web page content, adhering to SEO optimization guidelines and web best practices to design high-performing pages. Manage web pages
with a data-centric focus on conversion.
§ Design and maintain organization microsites, ensuring they are user-friendly,
responsive, and visually engaging.
§ Conduct A/B testing and analyze user engagement to optimize web and graphic design.
§ Edit and proof externally facing content: review and test content to maintain a functional design.
§ Produce and/or
edit photographs, videos, animations, and other multimedia content to enhance marketing efforts.
§ Design digital media content
for web and social applications.
Marketing administration
§ Coordinate all administrative aspects of
production, including preparing final designs for presentation or production and checking and approving color, copy, text format
separations, and scaling images for print production. Ensure that all parties are informed of and meet deadlines.
§ Maintain
database/bibliographic/archival retrieval system of all references used in creation of design and published materials. Organize and maintain
design-related files on the marketing server.
§ Track purchase orders, invoices, project expenditures. Assist in budget
development by summarizing, researching, and analyzing past project expenditures
§ Coordinate relationship with vendors,
preparing specifications and obtaining estimates for final approval.
§ Handle copyright, reprint, and permission processes
if/when needed.
§ Secure stock images, graphics, music, etc., as needed and within project/department budget.

The ideal candidate will have a confident, can-do attitude with strong
problem-solving skills and outstanding attention to detail. Highly creative and independently driven, able to generate innovative design
concepts and translate them into visually compelling digital experiences in an efficient and timely manner.
Ideal
candidate has the following technical skills:
§ Proven experience in graphic and web design, with a strong portfolio
showcasing your work.
§ Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.) and
web development tools like HTML, CSS, and content management systems (e.g., WordPress).
§ Strong understanding of user
experience (UX) and user interface (UI) design principles.
§ Knowledge of SEO and digital marketing principles is a plus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
This role operates in a professional office
environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, cameras, and video equipment.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
This is a largely sedentary role and requires the ability to sit at a computer for extended
periods of time. This role requires extensive use of a computer, keyboard, and mouse.
POSITION TYPE AND EXPECTED HOURS OF
WORK
This is a full-time, exempt position under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA). Summit Academy OIC’s regular
business hours are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m.–5 p.m. Limited weekend and evening hours are required as needed. This is a 100%
onsite position.
TRAVEL
Limited local travel is occasionally required, including movement between
organization’s two campuses.
REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
1. Bachelor’s degree required;
BFA in Art, Graphic Arts, or related discipline.
2. UI/UX experience and other industry-recognized credentials can substitute for
degree requirement.
3. At least three years (minimum) in graphic and web design required.
4. Excellent in
Microsoft Office Suite and graphic design software, including Adobe Creative Suite.
5. Demonstrated portfolio of work.
6.
Excellent sense of design to drive clear call to action.
