Overview:
This position encompasses procurement functional services for global strategic sourcing on IT & Telecom for the region of EW (English World). The aim of this position is to deliver value by strategically sourcing and negotiating goods and services in alignment with business stakeholders needs and requests for the IT & Telecom categories. The main activities linked to this role that are: spend categorization, supplier segmentation, sourcing processes, cost management, negotiation, forecasting & category planning, category market insight, should cost modeling and project management.
The person, in the Regional Category Manager role, evaluates, leads, develops and plans the regional IT & Telecom category strategy. This person is responsible for the sourcing to contract process, defining the global suppliers base, and ensuring products or services meet the expectations on quality, support, availability, flexibility, on-time delivery and cost.
Responsibilities:
Define the regional strategy and ensure local (strategic sourcing) understanding and feasibility.
Align and review with internal customers and stakeholders the regional business needs, to prioritize strategic initiatives regionally.
Own the stakeholder relationship, and meet with internal customers and stakeholders regularly.
Ensure the supplier rationalization and productivity, through the category strategy.
Regulate the balance of local, national, and regional vendors to choose the most reliable suppliers that add the greatest value.
Negotiate regional agreements and support local negotiations.
Own the contract supplier roadmap, contract definition, and contract management.
Plan and ensure smooth suppliers’ transitions.
Ensure the strategy execution with the tactical procurement team.
Ensure business partner alignment with the Global Strategy.
Conduct Supplier QBRs
Review and approve CAPEX per production seat projects is in accordance with the Group policy.
Build and lead cost reductions programs for short, medium and long term.
Report saving initiatives in the official tracker platform.
Deliver the most sustainable, quality and cost-cutting goods and services.
Travel, in order to manage collaboration, with expectations of 10% to 25% of the time.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, or Procurement, or Sourcing, or related field.
7+ years of sourcing experience, with 3+ years in an IT & Telecom category role, including negotiations with international and national suppliers, through cross functional activities.
Track record of spend optimization, and implementing policies across international divisions.
Results-oriented, metrics-driven leader purchasing activities, vendor collaboration development and compliance.
