The Merchandise Stock Associate will be accountable for managing the merchandise samples’ tracking, handling, and inventory processes and maintaining the stock/receiving/review room. Assist in the maintenance of Corporate Facilities as needed. The hours for the position are 7:30 am – 4:00 pm (Monday – Friday).
What You”ll Do…
Manage all unloading, unpacking, and assemble samples for assigned merchandising teams.
Support all efforts and initiatives across all business channels implemented by the company.
Assist in preparing and executing bi-annual inventory.
Support the movement of samples in the stock/receiving/review rooms, including on and off loading of trucks at the outdoors loading dock.
Maintain a performance on good quality of general building maintenance and upkeep as needed.
Ship, receive, and monitor inventory of all photo samples in and out of the Corporate location.
Maintain efficient, safe, clean, and organized spaces in receiving, review room and stockroom for all incoming/outgoing product and samples.
Build, handle and wrap furniture samples and make recommendations for packaging, assembly, assembly instructions, and hardware improvements, as needed.
Communicate effectively and efficiently with all company associates and business contacts.
What You’ll Bring…
Must be local and able to be onsite at our Corporate office in Northbrook 5 days a week
The working hours are 7:30 am – 4:00 pm (Monday – Friday)
Must be able to travel to other local offsite locations, as needed
High School Diploma/GED or equivalent
1 year previous retail stock experience similar to Crate & Barrel/CB2
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and/or Google platform
Ability to move and/or lift up to 65 lbs; heavier product with team assist
Ability to carry, reach, kneel, bend, crouch/squat, and/or twist
Strong interpersonal skills. Msut be able to communicate with all levels of the organization
Good reading and written language skills (English)
