Overview:
This position reports to the Associate Vice President of Campus Life and works in concert with the
university’s Executive Officer for Diversity, Collaboration, and Inclusion, and colleagues in Human Resources and the Brown Center for
Faculty Innovation and Excellence to maximize opportunities for collaboration and outcomes around diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI).The
Director is responsible for developing and enhancing justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion initiatives focused on the support and
belonging of undergraduate students from historically marginalized or underrepresented backgrounds or identities at Stetson University. In
alignment with the University values, the Director oversees the development, coordination, and administration of programs and activities
that primarily serve multicultural undergraduate students at Stetson. Additionally, the director collaborates closely with the Directors of
Community Engagement and Religious and Spiritual Life for integrated programming and outcomes. As a university community, we aim to amplify
Stetson’s exceptional focus on a personalized educational and working environment where all community members can thrive as their authentic
selves.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Supervises the staff and provides leadership
to the entire staff team, including the Assistant Director of WISE and Student Success, AmeriCorps Members, Graduate Assistants, and student
employees.
