Position Summary:
The School of Education, Health, and Human Services prepares students for successful entry into their profession. We focus on an ethical approach to human well-being and encourage critical thinking and practical application. Within the Department of Exercise and Nutrition Sciences, the Fitness & Wellness Leadership (FWL) major provides strong content knowledge, hands-on personal training experience as well as business, management and clinical rotations to both undergraduate and graduate students. We are seeking a dynamic, collaborative educator for this tenure-track position who will teach a variety of Exercise Science courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels, engage in scholarship, and provide service. As SUNY Plattsburgh is an institution that delivers challenging and high-quality educational experiences to a diverse group of learners, the successful candidate must demonstrate an understanding of and sensitivity to diversity, inclusion, and equity-minded policies, programs and practices. The successful candidate may be asked to teach courses in a distance learning format.
