The Department of Taxes Finance Division seeks an individual who is passionate about public service, has an eye for details, and brings strong organizational skills to the team. This position will encompass a variety of different department functions including return processing, forms development, processing system maintenance and support, multiple accounting functions and continuous process improvement.

Work is performed in a standard office setting.
Bachelor’s degree in accounting AND one (1) year of accounting experience maintaining, reviewing, analyzing and accounting or financial data and records to ensure compliance with accepted accounting practices and standards
OR
Associate’s degree in accounting, business administration, office administration or a related field AND four (4) years of professional experience in accounting, maintaining, reviewing, analyzing and accounting or financial data and records to ensure compliance with accepted accounting practices and standards
OR
High School diploma or equivalent AND five (5) years or more of professional experience in accounting involving maintaining, reviewing, and analyzing accounting or financial data and records to ensure compliance with accepted accounting practices and standards.
OR
Two (2) year as a Financial Administrator II with the State of Vermont.
NOTE: CPA certificate is considered qualifying.
For some positions preference may be given to applicants with supervisory experience.
For some positions experience working with the VISION system (VISION is the State of Vermont PeopleSoft financial management system)may be required.
