St. Norbert College (SNC), a nationally-ranked, private, Catholic, liberal arts college is seeking a Registrar. The Registrar leads an office and team that provides exceptional quality services and support to students, faculty, administrators, alumni, and the external community through timely and accurate handling of enrollment activities and records according to academic policies, professional standards and governmental regulations, consistent with St. Norbert College’s mission and strategic priorities.
Specific responsibilities:
Provide leadership in the administration and monitoring of academic policies and procedures.
Provide leadership in the adoption, implementation, and upgrading of systems and business processes, including leveraging the full suite of existing technologies, software, and platforms to optimize office system performance and consistently enhance student registration, academic progress, and academic record keeping.
Ensure that accurate enrollment information is reported to the National Student Loan Data System (Department of Education) and National Student Clearinghouse.
Work collaboratively with many academic and student service offices to support the academic mission of the University and enable student success.
Oversee, manage, and certify all student record documents related to degree completion.
Ensure that direct reports manage student information (e.g., registration data, transcripts, enrollment verification, etc.) with accuracy, integrity, confidentiality, and in accordance with federal and state regulations.
Lead the Registrar’s Office team, provide training, and establish performance standards to ensure an optimal registration process for students through degree completion and beyond.
Maintain the course catalog, including course prerequisites, special restrictions, course descriptions, and degree requirements.
Monitor information on the Registrar’s website for accuracy.
Serve on University committees, task forces, and other groups as needed.
Engage in daily contact — especially with students and colleagues — requiring discretion, respect, kindness and sound judgment.
Work on projects as assigned by the Vice President for Academic Affairs.

Required Minimum Qualifications:
Education –
Master’s degree in Higher Education, College Student Personnel or a related field required.
Experience and Credentials –
Minimum of five to seven (5-7) years of progressively responsible experience in a registrar’s office or related office within higher education (preferred).
Demonstrated expertise in the use of student data management information systems to successfully deliver registration services.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities –
Demonstrated technical, analytical, problem-solving, and change-management skills.
Comprehensive knowledge of existing and pending legislation governing higher education policy.
Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks, while maintaining accuracy, attention to detail, and meeting deadlines.
Ability to communicate effectively and professionally both orally and in writing with all SNC constituencies, particularly in conflict situations.
Proven leadership and managerial skills, especially in collaborating with multiple offices to improve enrollment, retention and student satisfaction.
Excellent interpersonal skills and enthusiasm for working with a diverse population of students, faculty, and staff, and contributing to a culture of inclusion and continual improvement.
Knowledge of student record management and “best practices” in registration.
Ability to multitask, meet specific deadlines, and prioritize tasks and assignments.
Knowledge of computer programs (Microsoft Office, Google Apps) and ability to learn upgrades and new programs as needed.
Ability to exercise good judgment and make decisions in an expeditious manner.

Working Conditions:
Standard working hours with interruptions throughout the day. Weekends or evenings occasionally may be required, especially during the peak season.

Generally a sedentary position working in a professional office environment. Lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling no more than 10 lbs. Will need to move within the office and building with occasional meetings in other buildings on campus.
