St. John Fisher University is an independent, liberal arts institution that provides a transformative education to approximately 3,800 undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral students each year. Job Responsibilities:
The Employer Relations and Experiential Education Coordinator is responsible for the development and management of programs to increase experiential and employment opportunities for SJF students as well as maintain and expand employer relations efforts. This position will work to provide a framework for the effective expansion and development of experiential education opportunities, with particular attention for the School of Business and the School of Arts and Sciences. Manage institutional resources to develop new experiential opportunities, facilitate promotion of current experiential opportunities to increase student participation, and develop and maintain a tracking, reporting and assessment system to measure student achievement and program success. In addition, this role serves as the forward facing employer relations representative for the office. Working to establish new and maintain existing relationships to support students, graduates and alumni. This role supports general operations of the Career department including holistic career coaching, programming, presentations, recruitment functions and data & analytics gathering.

Education / Experience:
A bachelor’s degree is required, master’s degree preferred.
This position requires credentials and/or experience suitable to fulfill the responsibilities of the position. A Master’s degree with two years of full-time experience developing, promoting, and managing internship/experiential learning opportunities or in career services for students in a college environment. Degree must be in Higher Education Administration, Education, Human Resources, Communications, Psychology, Counseling or related fields with one year of full-time experience is required. The candidate must be able to develop and maintain effective working relationships with employers, staff, faculty, alumni and students, and must have demonstrated success in program development and management in a professional setting.
Competencies / Skills:
Excellent interpersonal, relationship building and organization skills. A record demonstrating capability in presentation skills and proven ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups, including students, faculty, staff, alumni, and employers & community partners. Ability to exercise independent judgment, manage time and prioritize multiple work projects. Prior experience providing career coaching or counseling. Industry/employer relations knowledge is a plus. Skilled in data collection and reporting.
