Pacific 19 Kona is an island-urban hotel newly renovated and re-envisioned for independent travelers seeking design-forward accommodations and authentic experiences. The brand is inspired by the Pacific – a home to many places, cultures, and people. The 145-room hotel is on the 19th parallel, where the spirit that binds Pacific travelers finds a home.
Primary mission:
The primary mission of the Accounting Clerk is to support the General Manager & Accounting Department with tasks pertaining to all computerized accounting systems, month-end closing reports and general ledger reconciliation. Records all business transactions and retains all accounting records. Posts, verifies, and reconciles accounts payable, accounts receivable, expenses, payroll, or other ledger accounts. Assists in preparing financial operations reports and will be AP Supervisor. Support the General Manager with storeroom functions and be the property procurement specialist. Collaborate with department leaders with checkbook accounting and cost procurement.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Education: Requires understanding of bookkeeping procedures and 1-2 years of relevant experience. A two-year college degree (accounting preferred) or equivalent education/ experience
Experience: Usually requires 1-2 years’ experience in general accounting procedures.
Skills and Abilities:
Requires knowledge of the accounting, finance and hospitality profession
Requires working knowledge of the major areas and the skill to integrate and communicate that information
Ability to study, analyze and interpret complex data or information.
Ability to make decisions based on only general policies and procedures
Must possess communication skills in terms of the ability to handle billing or credit issues with management and/or hotel guests
Abide by payroll policies, procedures (punch in/punch out) and rules of conduct as stated in the Springboard Handbook.
Demonstrate a working knowledge of all hotel safety and security procedures as required to maintain a secure and safe environment for employees as well as guests.
Report any unusual occurrences and/or request to the immediate supervisor/MOD.
