Position Summary:
The Director of Outreach and Engagement Programs provides leadership for the University’s outreach to pre-college and older adult learners. The Director builds partnerships to foster a robust selection of lifelong learning opportunities and provides comprehensive leadership in planning, development, marketing, budgeting, fundraising, grant writing, and assessment of these programs. This position reports to the Executive Director of Admissions and Recruitment.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelors degree. Demonstrated successful budget management, grant writing and fundraising experience. Proven track record of securing grants from a variety of sources. Experience with ensuring compliance with grant agreements including expenditure of funds and grant reporting requirements. Experience serving as the public face of a program in presentations to groups and/or media
Preferred Qualification:
Masters Degree. Five or more years administrative experience in pre-college programs for youth in grades 6-12. Two or more years working within the K-20 educational system

Special Conditions
Must be willing to travel and attend training programs off-site for occasional professional development.
Must be able to work additional hours and adjust working hours to meet special jobs. May be called back periodically to perform work as needed on an emergency basis.
Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment background check.
Under the provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA):

The person holding this position is considered a “mandated reporter” under the Oregon Revised Statues and is required to comply with the requirements set forth by the Oregon department of Human Services.
