Description

The Office of Human Resources at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville is currently seeking qualified candidates to join our growing Talent Acquisition team as a Human Resources Representative. In this role, you will be responsible for reviewing applications for Civil Service positions within the university, including qualifying applicants and completing the credential’s assessment.

You will work closely with the Talent Acquisition Business Partner to assist with recruitment efforts and outreach including attending career fairs, presenting at new hire orientations, and providing communication with departments across campus. You will also play a vital role in the employment process by conducting employee verifications, assist with maintenance of Probationary Review documentation, and the completion of new hire forms.

Other clerical duties to be assigned as necessary, including answering phone inquiries, running reports, and analyzing data.

Typical Qualifications

1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Any one or any combination totaling two (2) years (24 months) from the following categories below:
   1. course work in human resource administration, business administration or a closely related field, as measured by the following conversion table or its proportional equivalent:
      • 30 semester hours equals one (1) year (12 months)
      • Associate’s Degree (60 semester hours) equals eighteen months (18 months)
      • 90 semester hours equals two (2) years (24 months)
   2. progressively more responsible work experience maintaining, monitoring, and/or processing human resource records and reports.
