About Us!
The mission of the SIUE East St. Louis Center is to improve the quality of life for individuals and families in Greater East St. Louis in the areas of education, health, social services and the arts. The Center identifies urban community needs and opportunities through research and leverages resources to support students on campus and in the community. In order to further support the mission of our ESL Campus, we are currently accepting applications for an Operations Manager (Program Coordinator) position! This position meets a need in the Director’s office in East St. Louis for grant and partnership compliance, as well as address the increasing projects needs on the SIUE campus and will cover tasks related to space management, events, management, logistical coordination for campus-wide partnerships!
Responsibilities and Duties:
-Provide project management and support for the Revitalization Grant directed projects, which include serving as a liaison between SIUE administrative and support units to ensure that projects, task, and service requests are completed on time. Serve as a liaison between the SIUE East St. Louis director’s office and the Illinois Community College Board staff, and the Southwest Illinois Community College faculty and staff, as well as any future community college partners.
-Support the Executive Director with oversight of space management by creating and maintaining a room/space request system for SIUE spaces, and well as community college shared spaces. Coordinate room changes as needed. Provide event support for SIUE, SIU, SIUC, ICCB, and SWIC special events on the Younge Campus. Additionally, coordinate summer space request for programs utilizing classrooms and residence halls on the Edwardsville Campus.
-Provide tenant support for offices at the Younge Campus coordinating key, IT, billing, parking, and phone service request. Work with the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Administration facilitate lease signing. Be the first point of contact for all tenants. Address any concerns that the tenant has in a timely manner.
-Build and establish relationships with all SIUE offices represented at the Wyvetter H. Younge Campus, including but not limited to, The School of Education, Health, and Human Behavior (Charter High School), School of Nursing (We Care Clinic), School of Business (Small Business Office), the Dental School (Dental Clinic). Additionally, establish connection and communications with all non-SIUE programs and organizations represented on the Younge Campus. For the purpose of building a campus wide communications and operations process that will assist with campus safety and general management.
-Manage vehicle usage request for ESLC vehicles and university fleet vehicles, and vehicle maintenance request. Create and maintain a policy/procedure for non-East St. Louis departments use of the ESLC buses.
