The Office Support Specialist for the School of Nursing enteres, prepares, and distributes academic scheduling for all SON courses every semster. This position assists in gathering data and preparation of reports and surveys for the department, NCLEX-RN licensure results, and American Association of College of Nursing Annual Survey.This position maintains the calendar, sets up appointments, meetings, rooms, and other related scheduling tasks. This includes The Office Support Specialist oversees confidential correspondence and reports that originate from the Associate Dean’s office regarding faculty, students, and other school matters.This position plays a key role in student communication by advising graduating students in the preparation of the NC LEX-RN application forms and completes SON roster of graduates to send to Continental Testing.The Office Support Specialist will be a notary public for the department and notarize applications and documents for faculty and staff.Other additional clerical duties and responsibilities may be added as necessary for the daily operation of the SoN.

Minimum Acceptable Qualifications:
1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Any one or combination totaling two (2) years (24 months) from the categories below:
A.) College coursework in any curriculum, as measured by the following conversion table or its proportional equivalent:
30 semester hours equals one (1) year (12 months)
Associate’s Degree (60 semester hours) equals eighteen months (18 months)
90 semester hours equals two (2) years (24 months)
Bachelor’s Degree (120 semester hours) equals three (3) years (36 months)
B.) Work experience performing office/clerical activities, including the use of computer systems.
3.) One (1) year (12 months) of work experience comparable to the second level of this series.
