Southeastern Oklahoma State University’s department of Social Sciences invites applicants for a non-tenure track Instructor of
History.
Candidates should also have strong, broad training in History and be prepared to offer a variety of Contemporary US History,
including African American, 20th Century, Economic and Social/ Cultural undergraduate courses. Southeastern faculty member also participates
in departmental meetings, write assessment reports and perform service to the department, university and community. M.A. in History is
required, but candidates who will earn their degree by August 2022 will be considered if they provide documentation.
Founded in 1909
as a teachers’ college, Southeastern Oklahoma State University continues the strong tradition of producing outstanding educators for
southeast Oklahoma and north Texas. Student enrollment is approximately 5,000 students and the campus is situated in rural
Oklahoma. The main campus is located in Durant, Oklahoma, which is 90 miles north of Dallas, Texas, and 150 miles southeast of Oklahoma
