The Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at South Dakota Mines invites applications for a full-time Instructor,
Lecturer, or Senior Lecturer of Computer Science with the anticipated start date of August 2023. This is a full-time, 9-month,
non-tenure-track, term position with benefits. Preference will be given to candidates with interest and experience in teaching a broad range
of undergraduate Computer Science courses.
Must be authorized to work in the United States. Sponsorship is not available for this
position.
An earned M.S. degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a closely related field is
required. The ideal candidate will have practical industry experience in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity or a
closely related field. Experience with IT and security certifications, and prior teaching experience at the university or college level in
Computer Science is also required. Expectations will include teaching courses, curriculum development, supervising student design projects,

The Electrical Engineering and
Computer Science department offers three ABET-accredited undergraduate degrees: B.S. in Computer Science, B.S. in Computer Engineering, and
a B.S. in Electrical Engineering; and four graduate degrees: M.S. in Computer Science and Engineering, M.S. in Electrical Engineering, Ph.D.
in Electrical Engineering and a Ph.D. in Data Science and Engineering. The department provides an outstanding innovative learning
