Summary
The primary purpose of this position is to coordinate a wide range of internal and external financial deliverables and provide administrative support to ensure the effective operation of the office of Financial Services. This position serves as a key contact to the Skidmore community, demonstrating a strong working knowledge of financial policies, processes, and the ability to distinguish between a wide range of complex financial documents, including the ability to field questions from the Skidmore community. This position is responsible for communicating in person, in writing and by phone with a broad range of constituents including employees, students, vendors, consultants, banks, and others, coordinating with other college offices and understanding and applying knowledge of Skidmore College procedures, responsible for the production of correspondence, reports, banking and tax forms, surveys and notices, scheduling of meetings, greeting visitors and directing inquiries to appropriate personnel, orders office supplies and processes payments with the department P-Card, coordinates the College’s travel credit card program, makes updates to the department’s website, handles incoming and outgoing mail, and annually coordinates the compilation, mailing and tracking of audit confirmation letters to financial institutions.
Education: High school graduate (college coursework or other relevant training preferred). Notary certification or plan to obtain is required.
Experience: 1+ years in a similar role or with other transferable skills
Pay Range: $20.50 – $23.00 per hour commensurate with experience.
