The Opportunity: This position will report to the Maintenance Supervisor and will be responsible for performing groundskeeping, general cleanup, and custodial support and maintenance responsibilities for the Facilities department at the Mount Vernon Campus. This is a full-time classified position at the Mount Vernon Campus. Hours of work are typically 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. The Maintenance Mechanic 1 will perform semi-skilled and sub-journey work in the maintenance, repair, remodeling, alterations, and construction of buildings, grounds, facilities, and equipment. Persons employed in these two available positions will be responsible for assisting the College in complying with all local, federal, and state building and compliance codes.
