We currently have three strategically located facilities in Canada & the USA which carry standard stock of aluminum coils, sheets, plates, extrusions and stainless steel sheets.

Job Summary:

· Responsible for the Help Desk and insuring users’ requests are resolved promptly and effectively

· Responsible for making sure that computer hardware and network infrastructure related to an organization’s data network are effectively maintained

· Involved in the procurement of new hardware, the rollout of new software, making sure that licenses are paid for and up to date for software that needs it

· Testing the network for weakness.

· Keeping an eye out for needed updates.

· Installing and implementing security programs.

· Manage E-mail and Internet filters.

Manage and Maintain Communication groups and distribution lists

Key Responsibilities:

· Maintaining internal and external networks

· Assist in the expansion of the internal network to support company growth

· Build new workstations, Breakdown stations

· Oversee Storage and Inventory of IT equipment

· Maintain windows, Mac and Linux based workstations

· Maintaining servers both hardware and VMware based

· Remote management of network assets

· Trouble shooting local and remote network and workstation/laptop issues

· Set up a process for setting up workstations

· Create new employee accounts

· Deployment of client workstations on local corporate LAN

· Trouble shouting and maintenance of Domain Servers, Web Servers, IP Phones, Camera and Security systems

· Helpdesk for internal and external clients

· Provide basic and advanced technical support to all employees

· Maintaining and creating procedural manuals

· Establish and implement new security policies

· Purchase IT equipment

· Systems administrators will be required to create operational manuals for their departmental activities

· Organize the new and existing workstation areas to accommodate company growth

Qualifications:

· Associate or university degree in a job-related field, or equivalent

· 2-4 years of IT experience as a network administrator

· Fluency in English both oral and written

· Experience configuring, deploying and troubleshooting solutions such as Active Directory, LAN/WAN networking, firewalls, switches, WIFI technology, Office 365, and cloud solutions.

· IT problem solving skills (hardware, software, and cloud)

· Basic scripting skills

· Fundamental understanding of TCP/IP and network topography

Fundamental understanding of operating systems including Linux and Microsoft Windows and Mac OS

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: From $52,712.53 per year
