FLSA: Exempt Job Summary:
The Senior Manager Financial Reporting COE role, leads the centralized financial reporting team supporting the Property-Liability (P-L) organization. The role oversees multiple reporting teams; leverages in-depth subject matter expertise and business acumen to influence business decisions; provides advanced guidance and support to business partners; and leads efforts to define and execute on the departments vision and roadmap. This position is specifically responsible for leading the team to build and deliver insightful financial and operational reporting to multiple audiences across the corporation, and influencing decisions related to data source strategy. This role leads financial reporting and data visualization strategy and execution for P-L and 360°Finance and is responsible for advancing automation of and insights gleaned from reports. This position is a permanent remote home-based worker. Your home office does not need to be near an Allstate office, but it does need to be in the United States. This position is eligible for a monthly connectivity reimbursement to offset the costs of internet and phone expenses.
Key Responsibilities:
Close collaboration with leaders across 360°Finance and the P-L organization to understand and prioritize reporting needs
Influence business partner decisions, priorities, and plans through recommendations based on business results and strategic insights
Plan and direct the activities of multiple reporting teams responsible for designing, developing, and delivering standardized data reports, automation, and dashboards
Ensures credibility and reputation of high quality (accurate, timely, relevant) reporting
Effectively builds talent pipelines of data and BI developers, product owners, and team leads
Provides thought leadership in the areas of data management and data visualization
Understand current and emerging technology stacks to enhance reporting capabilities
Analyzes data to answer business questions leveraging multiple data sources and tools
Collaborates with business partners to develop metrics to measure various characteristics of the business
Functional Skills:
Experience with manipulating data and business intelligence tools, e.g. Tableau, Power BI, etc.
Solid analytical skills, interpretation of data, and deriving insights, including problem solving approaches
Ability to apply advanced knowledge of analytical procedures to reconcile, manipulate, and recognize patterns of data
Advanced industry/data knowledge including best practices, industry trends, and available technologies that will serve to support insightful business reporting
Demonstrated success assisting leadership in achieving business unit objectives
Navigate ambiguity, prioritize multiple projects to meet business partner needs
Ability to influence other resulting in conflict resolution, problem solving and alignment
Independent thinker with a strong mindset
Exceptional organizational and time management skills – manage shifting timelines, resources constraints and limitations while executing concurrent priorities and balancing tactical and strategic points-of-view
Superior communication skills across multiple levels and mediums
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; May also have advanced degree
10 or more years of related experience

Compensation offered for this role is $155,800.00-$172,200.00 per year and is based on experience and qualifications.
