Description:
The senior accountant will perform basic accounting functions including A/R (Accounts Receivable), A/P (Accounts Payable), G/L (General Ledger), fixed assets, accruals, and inventory or cost accounting functions. The senior accountant will prepare business activity reports, financial forecasts, and annual budgets. They will prepare periodic (monthly, quarterly, annual) both internal and external financial reports including balance sheets, cash flow, and profit and loss statements (P&L); ensures that the reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) or financial reporting standards. The Senior Accountant will work with the CFO in month-end, quarterly and annual closing activities including the preparation, review, and posting of journal entries. They will provide financial analysis with an emphasis on capital investments, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations. Identifies P&L variances, analyzes and communicates root cause of those variances to appropriate management including cost improvement recommendations. The senior accountant will help maintains the general ledger while analyzing and performing account reconciliations. Help ensures the validity and accuracy of our ERP system through analysis, internal audit, and coordination with our assembly and manufacturing operations to create and maintain accurate bills of materials, up-to-date standard costs, processes and controls to support transactional activity. The Senior Accountant will prepare various financial and periodic reports analyzing production costs related to manufacturing and assembly operations including analysis of raw materials, WIP, and FG valuations and gross margin production cost calculations and trends. The accountant will reconciles bank accounts monthly, verifies deposits, and addresses inquiries from banks. Assists Chief Financial Officer with financial audits by outside auditors or parent company. Help provide feedback and implement process improvements. The accountant will also reconcile all inter-company accounts monthly. This accountant will need to be very savvy in Excel, pivot tables and Vlookups are minimum.
