Schoolforce Solutions Hiring for Special Education Teacher – Urgent Needed Job at Greenfield, IN Full Time

We are currently recruiting two Special Education Teachers to work full-time. You will have the opportunity to work in a challenging environment with the reward of impacting children’s lives.

Essential Functions:

• Provide a basic core program for special education students using a district-approved curriculum.
• Plan curriculum, lessons, teaching methods, and special education programs.
• Create a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interests of the students.
• Take all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities.
• Employ a variety of instructional techniques and instructional media, consistent with the physical limitations of the location provided and the needs and capabilities of the individuals or student groups involved.
• Evaluate student’s academic and social growth based on papers submitted, tests scored and observation; keep appropriate records and prepare progress reports. Assist the student in making a realistic assessment of his/her abilities and establish goals.
• Prepare report cards, reading records, IEP forms, classroom observation records, and other forms as needed.
• Maintain accurate and complete records as required by law, district policy, and administrative regulations.
• Maintain contact with parents of students.
• Assist the administration in implementing policies and rules governing student life and conduct. For the classroom, develop reasonable rules of classroom behavior and procedure and maintain order in the classroom in a fair and just manner
• Commit to educating the whole student – academically, morally, and socially
• Implement a result-driven curriculum and instruction specially designed to meet the unique needs of each student resulting from his/her disability such as, resource room, inclusion, and/or pullout services.
• Attend professional development, specialized training and IEP meetings with the special education team and parents as required.

Education and/or Experience:

• BA/BS degree from a college or university.
• Indiana Special Education license

Starts ASAP and goes through May 25th 2023

• Life skills class, self-contained, intensive license required
• Caseload: 11 with 3.5 classroom aids to assist
• M, T, TH, F (7:40-3:20) Wednesday (7:15 – 3:20)

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $30.00 – $37.00 per hour
