Job Description:
SUNY Schenectady County Community College is seeking a full-time Dean of the Division of Liberal Arts. The Division of Liberal Arts has a cross-disciplinary array of programs that offers courses in the Humanities, Social Sciences, and Arts as well as other courses related to these academic areas. Under the general direction of Vice President for Academic Affairs, the Dean of Liberal Arts is responsible for the overall management of the Liberal Arts Division. The dean is responsible for supervising and evaluating faculty, scheduling, and overseeing the administration of bargaining agreements. The dean is integral to the division of Academic Affairs and assists in the strategic planning and formulation of policies within it. As part of the Academic Leadership Council, the dean represents and supports faculty interests and initiatives.
