Responsibilities of the Lower School Teacher:

• Develop and implement a curriculum and lesson plans that will foster knowledge and skills essential to effectively teach students in the Lower School grades
• Create hands-on, inquiry-based, project-based lessons that build excitement
• Demonstrate concepts using models, technology, and other standard or teacher-prepared instructional aids
• Evaluate each student’s progress in their knowledge and skills
• Communicate with parents to discuss the individual student’s progress

• Model a growing and vibrant relationship with Jesus Christ
• Demonstrate biblical maturity and serve as a Christian role model
• Maintains active participation in an evangelical church

Requirements of the Lower School Teacher:

• Bachelor’s and/or master’s degree
• Multiple subject teaching credential
• Minimum of three years of self-contained classroom teaching experience at the Lower School level
• Interest in contributing to the school community outside of the classroom as an athletic coach, student advisor, student club leader, or otherwise preferred
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
