POSITION: Lead Surveyor – Geospatial

SUMMARY:
Growth in the business of the company has opened a position for a Lead Surveyor who is responsible for overseeing ground control surveys of aerial survey sites across the United States. This position is also directing crews on survey plans, designing survey plans, processing data, and organizing survey equipment. Additional duties include preparing proposals, contracts and reports; consulting with clients; performing field work; and drawing/drafting maps.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITES
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Leader of the Survey Department within the Mapping Division to include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance and motivating employees, resolving problems.
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Geodesy , Geomatics or related field. Public Land Survey License preferred.
EXPERIENCE
A minimum of 3 years’ experience in surveying is required. Knowledge of aerial survey requirements for ground survey required. Must have the ability to manage a group of technical non-exempt and exempt employees, maintaining a high degree of motivation and focus within the department. Must be detail oriented, ability to multi-task and maintain organization in a changing environment. Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication leadership and motivational skills with a strong commitment to quality required.
This position requires extensive travel and field work experience throughout the United States with occasional international travel.

Salary Range: 60K – 85K annual
