Child Welfare Development Services (CWDS) provides workforce development, organizational support, technical assistance and capacity building for the public child welfare staff of Southern California counties. These services include coaching, simulation, classroom training, eLearning, and evaluation services. Workforce development services consist of development opportunities for new social workers, the existing workforce, supervisors, managers, and executive-level leadership as well as community partners and multidisciplinary partners working closely with child welfare agencies.
Responsibilities
PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
Under the general direction of the Practice Coach Manager, the Practice Coach Supervisor is responsible to work independently, and in partnership with a county, to provide field-based training/coaching to public child welfare staff to support the transfer of learning and to develop specialized training, projects, and capacity for best practice on state and county initiatives for the Child Welfare Development Services (CWDS). Provide Practice Coach program supervision for a team of Practice Coaches. This position works closely with other Supervising Practice Coaches, the Practice Coach Manager, and the county consultants to coordinate regional needs and county-specific coaching needs. This position oversees a coaching team of 5-6 coaches.This position is fully remote and works primarily from a home office with travel to Academy and county offices required.
SPECIFIC DUTIES

This position will primarily serve San Bernardino County and this is subject to change based on programmatic needs.
