Position Summary
Reporting to the Associate Vice President of Development and working in a high-volume, high complexity fundraising organization, the Development Operations Analyst is directly responsible for managing the day-to-day administrative operations of the Development department, to include the analysis, design, implementation, and evaluation of various administrative systems. The Development Operations Analyst advises on policy and procedures, budgets, and related operational functions to meet programmatic goals, and acts as an internal and external resource. The Development Operations Analyst is also responsible for projects and programs related to stewardship, report analysis and development, and the SDSU Annual Giving Circle.
This is a full-time (1.0 time-base), benefits eligible, permanent/probationary position. This position is designated exempt under FLSA and is not eligible for overtime compensation. Standard SDSU work hours are Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., but may vary based on operational needs.
Ability and availability to travel and attend events or perform duties outside of normal work hours (may include weekends) on and off campus on occasion.
This position is approved for partial telecommuting with onsite work in San Diego.

Education and Experience
Entry to this classification requires general knowledge and skills in the applicable administrative and/or program field with a foundational knowledge of public administration principles, practices, and methods. This foundation would normally be obtained through a bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent training and administrative work experience involving study, analysis, and/or evaluation leading to the development or improvement of administrative policies, procedures, practices, or programs.

Compensation and Benefits
Starting salary upon appointment is not expected to exceed $5,372 per month.
Salary placement is determined by the education, experience, and qualifications the candidate brings to the position, internal equity, and the hiring department’s fiscal resources.

CSU Classification Salary Range: $3,681 – $6,034 per month.
