Sales Operations & Regional Sales Manager
Remote Role
The PRO Regional Sales Manager & Sales Operations is responsible for building strong customer/prescriber relationships, helping PRO to deliver against key performance metrics, manage and grow a field sales team and lead sales planning. This role also sits on the PRO North American leadership team, which works to drive the long-term vision for PRO while creating a #PROpassion culture.
What are we looking for?
5+ years of sales experience
Sales management experience, demonstrated ability to manage a sales force and a distributor
Head office experience, especially in sales operations
People management experience
CPG or Pet related experience
University degree or equivalence
Ability to travel
What would be your key responsibilities?
Appropriate allocation of time- 40% of your time with your sales reps, 20% sales operations, 10% Customer relationship-building/contract negotiation, 10% PRO Leadership team, 20% administrative
Collaborate with x-functional teams to support negotiations to develop mutually-beneficial tailored contracts for prescribers (Breed Clubs, D2C, NGO’s, Scale Shelters, Service Dog Organizations, etc.)
Co-create National Sales objectives grounded in Local, Regional & Global priorities
Lead the implementation of SHIFT (Consultative selling) across North America in support of sales capability and the evolution and successful expansion of the perfect pro visit.
Participate, contribute, and support the NA PRO Leadership team (PRO)
Lead sales planning for PRO, including S&OP, sales forecasting & inventory management, pets fed growth towards long term target, and D2C execution.
Provide performance appraisals quarterly, 6 months, yearly on your sales team with specific action plans incorporating and updating Personal Development Plans (PDP) & Objectives (IBO).
Calling on Shelter/Rescues, Breeder & WSSD organizations, distributors with sales reps, providing real-time coaching and performance feedback
Seminars, lunch and learn and informal presentations to educate staff on nutrition, need recognition and management as requested by sales reps.
Participation in local, state and national industry related trade shows, conferences and social events
Be able to stay within established T&E/Trade budget and look for efficiencies that could result in savings/reinvestment.
Participate in weekly/bi-weekly/monthly operation meetings as agreed by the Leadership team of your respective division.
Capacity to develop, update, modify regional forecast and make necessary modifications to reach target
Continuously improve and keep abreast of pet nutrition utilizing Royal Canin’s knowledge portal as well as other methods.
