Responsibilities
The Staff Development Coordinator/Nurse Educator is responsible for conducting General Orientation for all newly hired employees in skilled nursing and assisted living throughout the organization. Coordinates on-going staff education to ensure that all staff are adequately trained. Works closely with the Chief Human Resources Officer, Director of EMR & Education, and other leaders to addresses all regulatory requirements and any other topics identified in the facility assessment and/or needs assessment.
Qualifications:
Education: Completion of a RN nursing degree program (Bachelor of Science/Art in Nursing Degree preferred, but not required) RN Licensure with MN Board of Nursing in good standing.
Experience: Minimum of two years Staff Development/Educator experience. Minimum two years geriatric experience required. Certification as American Heart Association CPR Instructor preferred. Experience in assessing, developing, implementing, and evaluating educational programs. Experience with Learning Management Systems preferred. Experience as preceptor/clinical educator.
