SageWater is growing rapidly, and we are currently seeking a Human Resources Manager to support the company’s growth.
This role functions as the principal conduit between our corporate headquarters and the field employees working at projects all around the United States. JOB DESCRIPTION: The Human Resources Manager will assist in implementing human resources programs and services across the country for a total employee population of approximately 250 people. The Human Resources Manager is involved in recruitment and onboarding, benefits administration, employee relations and compliance programs.
Responsibilities also include serving as the primary point of contact in the organization for end-user HR guidance and coordinating and consulting with Human Resources leadership on SageWater HR policies. CORE DUTIES: Company-Wide Human Resources Coordinator: * Process new hire paperwork, maintain personnel files and track tasks associated with employee terminations * Review incoming I-9 forms and help maintain I-9 portal * Review background and drug screening results with hiring managers and Recruitment Manager * Assist in auditing weekly and biweekly payrolls * Administer group health and other insurance plans, including enrollments, changes and terminations and COBRA; maintain open line of communication with insurance broker representatives for Kaiser Permanente, United Healthcare, Principal, Reliance Standard, AFLAC/TransAmerica, and Kelly Benefits Group * Help maintain Dayforce HCM system, including processing new hires, terminations, and other applicable personnel changes in conjunction with Payroll Administrators * Keep up with labor law poster requirements, including ordering new posters each year or when changes are made and ordering posters for new offices and project sites * Create and distribute monthly newsletter * Assist with end-user training and support for Concur expense reporting application * Respond to Verifications of Employment (typically associated with a loan application) * Process and track claims for unemployment benefits * Assist with annual PPACA reporting in conjunction with Payroll Administrators * Assist with annual EEO reporting * Initiate quarterly random drug screenings and communicate requirements with managers and employees as necessary QUALIFICATIONS: * A Bachelor’s degree in human resources, organizational development or a related field is preferred * A minimum 5 years of related HR or office management experience * Knowledge of employment laws, regulations, and practices * High level of reliability, follow-through, and sensitivity with confidential information * Construction or related industry experience is a plus * Exceptional leadership and management skills and characteristics a must: problem-solving, critical thinking, analytical skills, negotiations, change/transformation management, relationship building and management, staff development, self-starter, multiple project management, highly accountable, time/deadline management, delegation, budgeting * Proficient in all relevant technology and software i.e., Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS), communication, presentation, and data software. * Ability to foster teamwork, open communication, and collaboration across the company. * Excellent communication skills and professional maturity: the ability to represent SageWater in a compelling manner with poise and enthusiasm to diverse internal and external audiences.
