Rutgers University- Newark (RU-N), an urban public research university and anchor institution, located in Newark, New Jersey, a city of promise is seeking a Program Coordinator I. Reporting to the Assistant Dean III, Supervisor, this position provides support to the Office of Academic Services (OAS), School of Arts and Sciences-Newark (SASN) and serves the initial point of contact for OAS, interacting extensively with the University community, students, prospective students, and the general public, ensuring a welcoming and responsive environment and managing all in-person, phone, and other inquiries. The Program Coordinator I carries out routine and semi-routine work within parameters for OAS and under general supervision and performs professional work that requires knowledge of general administrative and office management practices, as well as specific knowledge of University policies and procedures. This person must be able to multitask in a fast-paced, deadline-driven, student- and customer-serviced focused team environment with an understanding of the mission, vision, role, and goals of the OAS, SASN, and RU-N, and the role the tasks and responsibilities of this position play in the achievement of these goals. |

Consistent with the current application of Rutgers Policy 60.3.22, this position may be eligible for a hybrid work arrangement.
