RTP Company is growing and needs a Training & Development Specialist to support it’s global team.

Training & Development Specialist

Job Summary:

The Training and Development Specialist will develop, implement, conduct and/or coordinate training and development programs for employees.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Training & Development, or a related field
• 2+ years of experience in training and coordination of outside training resources
• Proven track record of delivering meaningful and impactful training experiences
• Previous experience designing training curriculum
• Adept in the use of a variety of multimedia training platforms and methods
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and related program software

Preferred:

• Experience in a manufacturing setting

Role Responsibilities and Essential Functions:

• Identifies with, shares in, and displays a commitment to the vision of RTP.
• Assesses training and development needs through surveys, interview, focus groups, and communication with managers.
• Creates, organizes, plans, and present various forms of onboarding, orientation, and skills training for employees.
• Coordinates grants, apprenticeships, and other development programs.
• Creates and/or acquires training procedure manuals, guides, and course materials.
• Researches and assigns outside instructors to conduct specific training and development.
• Presents training and development programs using various forms and formats including group discussion, lecture, simulations, and videos.
• Maintains records of training and development activities, attendance, results of tests and assessments, and retraining requirements.
• Evaluates program effectiveness through assessments, surveys, and feedback.
• Maintains knowledge of the latest strands in training and development.
• Prepares and implements training budget; maintains records and reports of expenses.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Travel:

• 5-10% travel required and may include overnight stays.

Physical Requirements:

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands, arms, and fingers for typing, etc.; and talk or hear when addressing others. The employee is required to stand and walk by entering and visiting other office and production areas. The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 10-20 pounds when managing training activities (i.e. training materials). Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus for regular computer work, presentations, etc. Must be able to speak in front of a classroom of employees both in person and via video.
