English Teacher
Grades 6-12

We are hiring a teacher to begin as soon as possible to finish the 2022-2023 school year. The teacher will teach English classes.

A Masters Degree in an English-specific field (not education) is preferred. We have a strong Dual Enrollment Program and the ability to teach college-level courses is desirable.

As a private school, no teaching certificate is required. Classes are limited to under 22 students.

Job Responsibilities

• Plan lessons, present information, promote discussion, assess performance, and modify learning techniques in your subject.
• Instruct students in small classroom settings (less than 22 students per class) as well as small groups.
• Provide a safe and stable learning environment and discipline misbehaving disrespectful students in strict adherence with school policy
• Encourage active participation and monitor individual student performance to enhance their understanding and master skills
• Attend departmental and school-wide educator meetings on a regular basis in addition to continuing education
• Communicate with students and parents through conferences, telephone calls, and email about student performance, goal setting, behavior problems, and other issues
• Supervise students in an advisory program.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $34,998.00 – $42,984.00 per year
