POSITION SUMMARY The Senior Customer Solutions Specialist (CSS) works with outside customers and internal departments to employ a proactive strategy for understanding and supporting desired business expectations ensuring projects are completed on time, in budget, and per specifications. CSS identifies and addresses customer issues and coordinates resources to assist with resolution. Senior CSS will mentor and train other team members through both formal and informal training programs.
SSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS * Manage programming requests, specifications and change orders from outside customers and internal CGI departments. * Enforce project deadlines and rollout schedules. * Effectively utilize project management tools to create detailed, organized project documentation for customer applications and projects. * Perform internal testing and coordinate customer user acceptance testing of enhancements. * Manage procurement of client owned and CGI stock and supplies. * Review monthly inventory management reporting, postage tracking, monthly customer billings and other reporting for customer order process. * Draft and present initial and final customer job specifications (IBRC) to internal departments. * Interview, investigate and communicate with end users/customers to find out what is needed and propose business solutions to management to solve outstanding issues. * Assist with prospect statement of work and request for proposal, as needed. * Coordinate and lead Project Management meetings, at least monthly for all assigned customers. Document discussions and collaborate with team members and management. * Train other team members through both formal and informal training programs. * Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION Minimum Required: Bachelor’s degree in Related Field
EXPERIENCE Minimum Required: 3-5 years related experience in customer service, project management, financial services, and/or document distribution business. Preferred: Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of products Working knowledge of SQL databases KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS * Communication Skills – Effective communication skills both written and verbal; ability to interact effectively with team members as well as customers. * Time Management – Ability to set and adjust priorities, tasks and deadlines based on severity and urgency of departmental and firm-goals. * Analytical skills – Using logic and reasoning to identify complex problems, research and discuss recommended solutions with management, assist in implementation of resolution of projects. * Personal Skills – Demonstrate ability to cooperate with a variety of people to achieve results. Ability to work independently or as a part of team. Willingness to learn new skills in a unique industry. Ability to work in a busy and fast-paced work environment. * Industry Skills – Transactional and/or Direct Marketing Mail experience with familiarity of USPS rules and regulations. Awareness of current industry leading data processing and composition tools.
PHYSICAL EFFORT * Required to physically perform the basic functions of reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting, and perform repetitive motions. * Occasionally required to walk and/or sit for extended periods of time. * Must possess visual abilities to perform extended reading and computer work.
WORK ENVIRONMENT * Normal office: Standard, climate-controlled office setting. * Production facility: Moderate noise level
