Railcar Technician Hiring for Railcar Technician Job at Quincy, MA Full Time

Seeking full-time Railcar Technicians in the Readville section of Boston, MA. This position is responsible to support the commissioning and warranty programs for new passenger rail vehicles, and their electrical and/or mechanical components. Candidates should ideally have some general electrical and/or mechanical experience. The Railcar Technician must adhere to and maintain strict compliance with corporate policies and procedures, established health and safety protocols, and all applicable local, state, and federal regulations.

Core Responsibilities:

• Assist monitoring, recording, analyzing, and reporting on equipment trends, failures, results, and recommendations.
• Help to troubleshoot electrical and/or mechanical components such as electronic equipment, circuit wiring, lighting, subsystems, auxiliary, HVAC, and hardware
• Perform routine repair and maintenance work
• Collaborate with Quality Control to investigate and resolve defects and quality issues
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred (or equivalent reading, writing and reasoning skills)

• Ability to work flexible schedules and overtime
• Successful completion of a pre-employment screening process

Schedule

Monday – Friday from 7 AM – 3 PM with the ability to work overtime

as needed, including weekends
