Quality Engineer LOOKING FOR Quality Engineer JOB AT Rock Island, IL

Our client, an automotive manufacturer, is looking for a Quality Engineer to join their team in Rock Island, IL!

* This long-term contract role (possibility for extension or direct hire for the right candidate) offers a starting pay rate of $50/hour (benefits available).*

Responsibilities:

• Work through PPAP approval process.
• Evaluate and accept / reject criteria.
• Perform build / audits and quality problem solving – parts & processes.
• Review manufacturing process and specifications to assure contract compliance.
• Complete inspection forms for final product.
• Complete daily progress reports.
• Program analysis of quality data.
• Review, log and track non-conformances.
• Perform root cause analysis.
• Interface with RIA staff, MMC Quality departmental personnel, and Government personnel.

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (or related technical field preferred).
• 2+ years experience in Automotive, Defense or manufacturing related.

• Ability to operate Microsoft Office applications, Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams and SAP.
• Must possess strong communication skills in order to communicate with a local team lead.
• Travel up to 20% may be required.

• HMMWV and automotive inspection experience (preferred).
• Experience with Lean Six Sigma (preferred).

Pay: $50.00 per hour
