QPS Employment Group Hiring for Account Coordinator Job at Oak Creek, WI Full Time

We are currently hiring an Account Coordinator to work for a well known transportation company in Oak Creek, WI. This position is your typical Monday – Friday 8am – 5pm position and we are looking for the right long term fit! Please attach your resume to be considered.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform pick-up alerts to provide shipment details.
• Perform routing to ensure proper movement of freight.
• Perform delivery alerts to provide destination agent with shipment information.
• Perform transfer alert notification for multiple carrier requirements.
• Provide proof of delivery (P.O.D.) and confirmation of arrival of freight at destination.
• Perform rating of shipment and prepare invoice in accordance with contract pricing
• Maintain a proper file reflecting the history of each shipment.
• Provide approval for special charges via customer request and maintain proper documentation to ensure verification.
• Perform supplemental billing to adjust or correct an invoice.
• Track carrier service failures and adjust carrier invoice if required.
• Perform carrier spot rates/quotes for shipments with a reduced or non-contract price is negotiated.
• Coordinate all activities associated with the set up of COD or FCCOD shipments.
• Perform associated duties via direct customer input via phone, fax, or computer generation.
• Maintain a consistent, professional attitude and phone voice in all interactions.
• Cross train in other related accounts.
• Occasionally perform light manual duties related to receiving, packing, shipping, postage, and housekeeping.
• Perform inventory verification when required.
• Operate all related office type equipment and personal computer.
• Understand and use all related software applications to assist with the shipment process and communications.

Qualifications:

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: 0-18 months of related customer service experience.
• Experience in: PC skills and Windows applications. Customer service and phone contact experience.
• Transportation or distribution background a plus.
• Office equipment familiarization.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 per hour
