Commodity Manager – Plastic Injection Molding

Lead company efforts to drive cost reduction and supply chain stability through the consolidation and streamlining of procurement efforts across four manufacturing plants. Reporting to the Director of Supply Chain, you will build relationships both internally and externally, implementing company-wide strategies to optimize spend, and ensure a stable efficient supply chain throughout the organization.

Position Description

· Identify and execute division level cost reduction commodity projects including supplier consolidation, consignment, VMI or similar strategies.

· Identify, assess, and evaluate potential new suppliers including international suppliers and distribution networks.

· Negotiate long-term supplier contracts across multiple plant locations; prepare ROI or TOC models

· Execute division level supplier consolidation or diversity for best-buying leverage.

· Create, monitor, and manage purchase orders in association with commodity projects, VMI, or similar.

· Prepare and present concise and timely project updates to executive team leaders.

Minimum Job Qualifications

· The successful candidate will have 5-7 years of resin/ plastics sourcing and purchasing experience preferably in an injection molding environment.

· 3+ years working with Enterprise IQ (IQMS).

· Above average data collection and analysis skills using Excel.

· The successful candidate will effectively drive change throughout the company with a positive, team-oriented mindset.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $110,000.00 per year

Experience:

• Resin/Plastic Sourcing: 5 years (Preferred)
