POSITION SUMMARY
Oversees the supply chain (procurement and logistics) services provision in support of humanitarian efforts in the LAC region (Latin America and the Caribbean). overseeing and coordinating the logistics operations within the region to ensure that they are running smoothly, efficiently, and in compliance with the organization and donors’ policies and regulations. Currently, Project HOPE work in Venezuela, Colombia, Haiti, Dominican Republic and Mexico. Supports Global Security Manager as needed. Serves as a central hub for all supply chain and support services tasks and issues, aligns approaches across all humanitarian program operations and makes recommendations for improvements, adjustments, and strategic initiatives. Serve as an integral part of the start-up team and operations. Conducts and contributes to the initial country assessment. Identifies and/or supports expansion of the on-the-ground support services and needs. Leads on regional and in-country procurement and logistics.

Requirements:
Academic study in the field of Supply Chain Management, or alternative courses such as completion of the Certification in Humanitarian Supply Chain Management, or equivalent is desirable.
Competencies:
In addition to the responsibilities referenced above, candidates may expected to be living and working in austere conditions. Lifting moderately heavy objects from the ground, carrying a backpack for extended periods of time, and walking or hiking in remote locations may be necessary to perform these functions.

Salary range will vary based on location. Compensation for the role is dependent on several factors including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, and experience.
